This information is provided to prevent any complications regarding your order, now or in the future. Although every effort has been made to clarify the information we require from you the customer, and the service you should expect from us, there is always room for improvement. Suggestions to better your shopping experience will always, and gladly, be accepted.
The Importance of Proper Window Measurements
Accurate measurements are crucial. The vast majority of the products we offer are Custom Made and Cannot be returned due to incorrect measurements. Should an error on your part occur, we will be here to assist you with having the error corrected, or if necessary, the product remade. Please follow our "How to Measure Instructions" very carefully. And, when you are certain your measurements are correct, measure again! Should you have any questions, please feel free to call us for assistance.
INSIDE MOUNT WINDOW TREATMENTS:
"Inside Mount" window treatments fit inside the window frame or opening. Deductions, allowing for the precise fit, and function are automatically taken by the factory. These deductions may vary by type of treatment selected and/or factory of manufacture. So please, DO NOT take any deductions of your own. Please give us the actual, exact measurements of your opening down to the 1/8 of an inch.
OUTSIDE MOUNT WINDOW TREATMENTS:
"Outside Mount" means the treatment extends beyond the sides, above the top , and sometimes below the actual opening. The factory does not change the measurements for outside mounted items. Therefore, you will need to determine the finished size you need. Submit the size of the blind, NOT the size of the window.
Please consider the following:
- Standard sliding glass doors, and windows being covered with floor length treatments require additions be made to the actual size so they extend beyond the sides and above the top of the opening, only.
- Openings in French doors, or windows that are not being covered with a floor length treatment, require that width and length be added to the actual opening sizes. This to allow the completed treatment to extend above, below and beyond each side of the opening.
- An outside mount for a window with a sill extending more than 3/4 of an inch into the room, from the wall, may require measurements be taken from the sill up. Therefore additions to the actual measurements, would be made only to extend the treatment beyond the sides, and above the top of the opening.

CONFIDENTIALITY
All personal information we receive remains confidential and will never be shared with others not directly involved with the completion of your order.
Order Changes or Cancellations
Order Changes Policy:
You have up to 24 hours after the order is placed to make any changes. Once that period has passed it's normal for production to have begun. Changes, if possible, after the 24 hour period will incur an additional fee determined by the degree of production already completed. If your product(s) have been completed they cannot be changed. Please review your "Order Confirmation Email immediately upon receipt to avoid any problems.
Return Policy:
Since ALL products purchased through BestBuyShutters.com are custom made to order they can not be resold in the normal course of business and therefore can not be returned for any reason.
Please review the Order Confirmation that is emailed immediately after your order has been placed, and check it for any errors. It is your responsibility to verify all sizes, products and colors prior to production.
NOTE: Simply stated our returns policy is like this, if I make a mistake placing your order I pay to fix it, if the vendor makes a mistake they pay to fix it and if you the customer make a mistake you pay to fix it. This site is based on the "do-it-yourself and save" concept but there are inherent risks when you go it alone in that if you don't follow instructions or request color samples before placing an order it can become quite expensive to fix the mistake.
So please, take the time to review the product's specifications in terms of mounting requirements, read the measuring instructions, review the installation instructions so you know what's expected before you order and please request swatch samples so you can select a color you can live with. If you do all of this I'll do my best to place the order accurately so the manufacturer can build it to spec.
Claims
If an order arrives damaged and it is not the result of faulty craftsmanship or materials (blind dropped by freight company) you have 30-days to contact our office so a claim can be processed. This is the freight company's policy and so if you contact us after the 30-days have expired there is nothing we can do about it.
Installation
If you are not comfortable installing your blinds please contact a professional in your area. Because if you install it improperly, damage the blind during installation, or hurt yourself for that matter BestBuyShutters.com and our parent company Limb Corporation are not responsible. And if the blind is not installed properly or it is damaged in the process of installation the warranty is voided.
Discontinued or Out of Stock Items:
BestBuyShutters.com makes every effort to remove items from our site immediately upon notification that they have been discontinued, or to notify the customer of an out of stock item before ordering. However it's not uncommon for us to be informed of these issues only when we forward customer orders to the manufacturer. Therefore, BestBuyShutters.com disclaims any responsibility for any damages incurred by delays due to circumstances beyond our control.
Sales Tax
We charge a 7% sales tax to Vermont residents only.
Shipping
Products are shipped straight to your door via UPS or FedEx. Most orders take 3-5 business days to arrive after production.
For oversized orders or orders outside the 48 continental states please call 1-888-660-2546.
Note: We cannot ship to PO boxes, FPO, or APO Addresses.
Payment Options:
Due to the custom nature of our products we require full payment at the time of order placement. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express through our website and over the phone. Cashier's Check, Personal Checks and Money Orders must be received by our office before your order can be processed.
Dispute Resolution
If we cannot resolve a dispute regarding the application of BestBuyShutters.com's Ordering, Shipping and/or Measuring Policies to your order, the dispute will be settled by one arbitrator in binding arbitration pursuant to the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration shall be filed in Williston, Vermont and the hearing relating to said arbitration shall be held at a mutually agreeable location within Chittenden County, Vermont. The arbitrator will apply United States law and will award the substantially prevailing party its costs and reasonable attorneys fees.
Applicable Law
This site was created and is controlled by Limb Corporation in the State of Vermont, United States of America. Therefore, the laws of the State of Vermont will govern these terms, conditions and disclaimers without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. We reserve the right to make changes to our website, and our terms, conditions and disclaimers.
